Welcome to Mrs. Virostko's Homeroom!

I just wanted to tell you a little bit about my homeroom class this year.  Above are some of our schedules.  It's a little bit crazy with our Spanish schedule this year, but we are going to have so much fun in Homeroom!

Our big focus will be on Science, Social Studies, and Service Learning.  I do not send homework home for any of these subjects, and they are graded though in-class participation.  Below is a section on Mystery Science, which is the resource I use for the majority of the year.  If your child is absent, they will need to choose an activity to complete at home.  Mini-lessons will need to be watched, then students should write at least 3 things they learned from watching the video.  For longer lessons, students can bring any finished products in to class to show me, or you're welcome to email me photos of their process or finished products.

Students may bring a healthy snack to eat during our afternoon recess.  Please make sure they are nut-free, as we have some students with nut allergies.

Students will be assigned a locker.  Third graders may not have a lock.

Students will not be allowed to bring toys to school to play with at recess.
